TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — Hundreds of people are scheduled to meet at the state capitol Thursday to show support for State Attorney Aramis Ayala’s decision not to pursue the death penalty while in office.
People from across the state, including Orlando, will head to Tallahassee for the Ride for Aramis rally.
Gov. Rick Scott removed Ayala from accused murderer Markeith Loyd's case over her decision.
Loyd is accused of shooting and killing his pregnant ex-girlfriend Sade Dixon and Orlando police Lt. Debra Clayton.
