SR 436 at Pershing Ave. reopens following suspicious device incident

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — A suspicious device was reported at the Harbor Beach Condos on 5 Flags Boulevard in Orange County late Thursday afternoon, according to sheriff's officials.

Deputies shut down the northbound lanes of State Road 436 between Pershing Avenue and Lake Margaret Drive for several hours and in the thick of rush hour traffic.

Sheriff's officials said one building in the condominium complex was evacuated.

At around 6:30 Thursday evening sheriff's officials said the device had been disposed of and they reopened the road shortly after.

They have not released additional details about the device.
