ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. - A Florida teenager without a family and a place to call his own stood in front of parishioners at a church with one request: He asked for someone to adopt him.
"I just said, 'I know God hasn't given up and I'm not either,'" said Davion Only.
Davion, 15, stood in front of a crowded church in St. Petersburg and said, ''I'll take anyone. Old or young, dad or mom. Black, white, purple. I don't care."
Davion said he wants a family after being in and out of nearly a dozen foster care homes.
"Just like, to love me forever. I just want people to love me for who I am. Just to grab me and keep me in their house and love me no matter what," Davion said.
Davion said he never knew his family because his mother was in jail when he was born.
In June, while he was online, he learned his mother had died.
Now, more than 500 people have called to adopt Davion.
