Texting school bus driver will plea case to keep job

SEMINOLE COUNTY, Fla. — A Seminole County school bus driver who was allegedly caught texting while driving will get a chance to fight for his job.

Video from inside the bus showed driver Robert Stancheski using his cell phone in December.

But Stancheski told Channel 9 he was messaging a special needs student he was about to pick up.

It is against policy for bus drivers to use their phones unless it is an emergency.

Stancheski was going to be fired on Tuesday, but was granted a hearing to plead his case.
