MARION COUNTY, Fla. — Three attempted robbers were busted trying to break into an internet café in Marion County, deputies said.

The attempted robbery happened Saturday at the internet café at the 1000 block of NE 14th Street in Ocala.

Deputies were in the area conducting surveillance on several businesses after recent armed robberies when they noticed two masked gunmen try to break into the internet café, deputies said.

"They were there that night and they witnessed two masked gunmen walk up to this internet café,” said Lauren Lettelier, with the Marion County Sheriff’s Office.

Two of the men ran toward a nearby vehicle to get away and led deputies on a chase.

Tlarence Munnerlyn, 21, was caught before he could get into the car. Another man, William Jackson, 20, jumped into the vehicle that was driven by Toney Cobb, 22, deputies said.

Deputies said Cobb led them on a 2-mile chase until their vehicle was pinned by a deputy's vehicle at the 1100th block of NW 10th Street in Ocala.

Cobb was found hiding in a nearby home, deputies said.

“We’ve got him running southbound through the trees,” Lettelier said.

Three internet cafes have been robbed since October, deputies said. An investigation is underway to determine if the three men are connected to the previous robberies.
