Three teens arrested after Sanford home invasion

SANFORD, Fla. — Three teenagers accused in a violent home invasion are being held in jail without bond.

Police said Karl Jaquez, 17, and Matthew Teuta, 19, broke into a woman’s home on Yale Avenue in Sanford around 12:30 p.m. Friday.

Police said the homeowner was held at gunpoint and hit several times in the face while the men ransacked her home.

The victim suffered lacerations to her head and a possible broken arm.

Thomas Clark, 19, was allegedly driving the getaway car when the trio was spotted by police and arrested.

Officers said they found three guns and marijuana in the car.
