Trio faces kidnapping charges after allegedly abducting man's girlfriend, demanding ransom

KISSIMMEE, Fla. — Three people have been arrested after Osceola County deputies said they kidnapped a man’s girlfriend and tried to extort money from him, according to a press release.

The trio—Jafet Andrillon, 19, Carlos Andrillon-Torres, 40, and Elizabeth Vega-Lopez, 18—are facing kidnapping, battery and false imprisonment charges, jail records show.

According to the press release, a man contacted the Sheriff’s Office on Sunday and said he was receiving frantic calls from his girlfriend saying she was taken by force without her permission.

A short time later, the man said he received a phone call from someone else who said the man needed to pay him money or he would hurt his girlfriend, telling him to meet at a specific location and not to call law enforcement, the release said.

Osceola County detectives and gang unit members went to the Magnuson Hotel on U.S. 192 where the suspects told the man to meet them. Deputies then apprehended the trio, officials said.

Anyone with information is urged to contact the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office at (407) 348-2222 or Crimeline at 1-800-423-TIPS.
