Villages fire chief bonds out of jail following arrest on child abuse charges

SUMTER COUNTY, Fla. — The fire chief of the Villages went before a judge Friday after being arrested on child abuse charges.

Michael Tucker was arrested Thursday in Sumter County.

Deputies said Tucker and the victim got into an argument that escalated into a physical fight earlier this week.

Deputies have not said what the relationship is between Tucker and the victim.

Tucker was released on bond from the Sumter County Jail Friday afternoon.
