Couple dies in apparent murder-suicide at home near New Smyrna Beach

VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. — A couple died Sunday in an apparent murder-suicide at their home near New Smyrna Beach, the Volusia Sheriff’s Office said.

Deputies said they were called to the home on Bluefish Avenue near South Atlantic Avenue to conduct a well-being check.

Investigators said they found Joseph Patti, 58, and Sherrie Bolin, 54, dead in the home. Both had been fatally shot.

Autopsies will be conducted Monday.
