Hospital hosting blood drive in honor of Daytona Beach police officer shot in line of duty

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. — The hospital where a Daytona Beach police officer is being treated after he was shot in the head in the line of duty is hosting a blood drive in the officer’s honor this week.

Halifax Health officials said it will host a blood drive with OneBlood on Tuesday in honor of Daytona Beach police officer Jason Raynor, who remains hospitalized there after he was shot on June 23.

The blood drive will run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and is open to the public. Halifax Health is located at 303 North Clyde Morris Blvd. in Daytona Beach.
