Wanted man plows through fence, crashes into car while fleeing police in Daytona

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. — The search for a dangerous, wanted felon prompted a police chase that nearly took out officers and innocent drivers all over Daytona Beach on Friday.

Police said Broadus Stallings Jr., who is wanted on charges of fleeing and eluding, and selling cocaine in Flagler County, was driving when authorities spotted him.

Police tried to arrest Stallings at a car dealership on Mason Avenue, but he drove away, nearly running over officers as he plowed through a fence to escape.

After that wild chase through the city, Stallings crashed into a car on South Street with four people inside, authorities said.

A woman in that vehicle was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

Police say Stallings, who then tried to escape through a nearby apartment complex, was arrested. He's now facing many charges, authorities said.
