Women beat mother of 3 over bad parking

SEMINOLE COUNTY, Fla. — A Seminole County mother said she was brutally beaten and given a black eye because two women didn't like how she parked at a local holiday-light display.

"Unfortunately, it will be in the Christmas pictures. But it's actually a reminder that these two girls need to be caught," said Christine Beckwith.

Beckwith said the women attacked her Sunday night over a bad parking job on Lakeview Avenue.

The mother took her 5-month-old twins and 9-year-old to look at the lights when she was confronted by the angry pair.

"I said, 'You need to settle down. I have kids with me. Let me move my car. It's no big deal,'" she described.

The next thing Beckwith knew, her head was being slammed against a car, she was punched in the face and her hair was being pulled.

"I knew I had to get out of the situation and get my kids to safety," she said.

Another family witnessed the attack, called 911 and comforted Beckwith and her girls.

But the two women took off in separate cars before police arrived.

"It was such a simple situation and they escalated the violence so easily," said Beckwith.

No one was able to get a good description of the women, only that they were driving a white Honda with a Christmas wreath on it and a black sedan.
