Deputies: Suspect broke into womens' homes, demanded sex acts

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — Investigators said a man broke into two apartments, demanded sex acts from women and stole their cell phones early Thursday morning.

It was a bizarre and terrifying ordeal for the two victims at an Orange County apartment complex around 2 a.m. Thursday.

Orange County Sheriff's investigators said Alix Chery, 22, went door to door, breaking in, stealing phones and demanding sex. They said he even threatened to shoot one of the women if she didn't comply.

Chery was arrested early Friday morning.

According to investigators, the series of events began when, according to his own admission, Chery knocked at the door of an apartment at the Birkshires of Winter Park with his phone number and a note that said, "Male stripper for free 267 2--9 -- ask for Al."

Investigators said no one answered the door and he left the note.

They said he then went to another apartment, and was able to gain entry through a back door.

Once inside, investigator said, Chery found a woman asleep and tried to force her to perform a sex act.

Investigators said when the woman screamed, Chery stole her phone and left.

They said he then went to another apartment where he made sexual demands of another woman before stealing her phone.

Investigators said Chery was staying at the apartment complex with a friend.

Deputies were able to track him down using K-9s and surveillance video from a gas station.

According to investigators, Chery has no previous criminal history.
