Giants RB Saquon Barkley questionable to return against Packers with shoulder injury

LONDON – New York Giants running back Saquon Barkley is officially questionable to return to the team's Week 5 game against the Green Bay Packers in London with a shoulder injury.

Barkley appeared to suffer the injury after being tackled by Packers linebacker De'Vondre Campbell on a one-yard reception at the end of the third quarter. He immediately left the game for the blue medical tent on the sideline until he emerged with trainers minutes later. Barkley then immediately ran back to the locker room and the team officially announced his injury.

Barkley was the Giants' spark plug on offense with 68 yards on 12 carries, including a 40-yard direct snap rush to set the Daniel Bellinger touchdown in the second quarter. In Barkley's absence, the Giants have leaned on the legs of Daniel Jones as well as backups Matt Breida and Gary Brightwell, who scored a touchdown at the end of the same drive where Barkley was injured to even the game at 20-20 in the fourth quarter.
