No. 6 Florida State safety out for the season

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) — TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) -- Florida State junior safety Tyler Hunter has had surgery to repair a bulging disc in his neck and will miss the rest of the season.
 
   Seminoles coach Jimbo Fisher made the announcement after Tuesday's practice. Fisher says Hunter is expected to make a full recovery and will be back in 2014.
 
   Hunter had eight tackles and an interception in three games this season. He is able to take a medical redshirt and would have two years of eligibility remaining.
 
   The sixth-ranked Seminoles are off this week before playing at No. 3 Clemson on Oct. 19. The Tigers host to Boston College on Saturday.
 
   The Seminoles will continue to use Jalen Ramsey at safety in place of Hunter. Ramsey has 22 tackles and an interception as a freshman this season.
