Seminole County teen runaway dies after crash in Georgia

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Authorities say a 16-year-old runaway has died Friday from injuries she suffered after a car she was riding in crashed during a police chase.

Kyrsten Q'Amise Veal has been missing from Seminole County since July.

On Wednesday, authorities said they tried to pull over a vehicle that Veal and two others were in. The car sped away and a Georgia state trooper tried to spin the suspect's car off the road. The car slammed into a tree and split in two.

The Florida Times-Union (http://tinyurl.com/9p6tfc5) reports 24-year-old David Sessions died at the scene.

Camden County sheriff's Deputy William Terrell said Veal died Friday at a Jacksonville hospital.

Driver Jamal Jones was hospitalized in serious condition.

The 19-year-old faces several charges including aggravated assault.
