• Sleet, Snow Fall In Parts Of Central Florida

    Updated:
ORLANDO, Fla.,None - Central Florida saw a very unique winter weather mix Saturday, the likes of we may not see again for a generation. People all across Central Florida woke up to sleet and snow Saturday morning and the freezing temps were back Sunday morning, this time without the sleet and snow.

If you are on the roads this weekend, watch out for a few slick spots around the area, especially for bridges and overpasses, after temperatures dropped back below 32 Saturday night. If you saw rain Saturday, it won't dry out overnight and ice could remain Sunday.

Thousands of bundled up runners showed up to run in Disney's half marathon early Saturday morning, but the cold temperatures didn't seem to bother most.

Eyewitness News received viewer reports, as well as photos on WFTV.com (take a look), of snow and sleet falling in cities such as Silver Springs, Ocklawaha, Fruitland Park, Ormond Beach, Zephyrhills, Lady Lake, Palm Coast and The Villages.
