Teen, who was reported missing since Monday, found safe

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — A 14-year-old boy, who was reported missing on Monday, was found late Wednesday night, according to the Orange County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies said Ricardo Chang, whose mother was killed this summer, walked out of the Central Florida Behavioral Center Monday night and did not return.

Chang lived at the treatment center because deputies said he was dealing with emotional problems.

Chang's mother, Jorgette Acarie, 43, was shot and killed in their Dr. Phillips home in August.

Her 2-year-old son, Chang’s half-brother, was found lying by her side, alive.

Acarie's ex-boyfriend, Kristofer Gould, 33, was charged in her death and is behind bars.

WFTV found that Acarie tried multiple times to get away from her ex, and her family said she spent the last few weeks of her life living in fear of being killed.

The Sheriff's Office did not release any details about finding Chang, other than to say he was reunited with family members.
