According to the Oregonian, a Washington County judge sentenced Brian David Couture, 40, of Forest Grove, on Monday to 80 hours of community service and 1 1/2 years of probation. He also must pay a $100 fine and restitution, the Washington County District Attorney's Office said in a news release.

Prosecutors said Forest Grove police responded to a reported robbery at Couture's home on March 6. Couture told officers that an intruder came into the house and attacked him, authorities said.

"Arriving officers found the home was ransacked and spotted blood strewn about the residence," the news release said. "Couture's work laptop was damaged and approximately $700 was missing from a jar containing his daughter's cookie sale proceeds."

"Couture told police that he stole the money from his daughter to pay for an erotic massage and faked the robbery when he realized he couldn't explain the missing funds," the release said.
