Wife's typos have police on lookout for ‘Captain America'

FILE PHOTO: Police in Pennsylvania put an alert out for "Captain America." But in reality, "Captain America" was really a guy, in a Captain America shirt, whose wife had given him two wrong addresses.

This is not an April Fool’s joke: A wife made a texting mistake not once, but twice and it could have gotten her husband in trouble with police.

Jermyn Police Department put an alert out via a now-deleted Facebook post about a man who had been spotted around homes in the area last week. The man in question was wearing a Captain America shirt, WBRE reported.

"If you know Captain America, have him give us a call, we need to talk to him about wandering around people's houses," the post said, according to WBRE.

The man happens to be Matt Stasyszyn, who was sent on a mission by his wife, Alysia. His wife sent him on a mission, not to defeat Thanos, but to pick up a bag of beef sticks she had purchased from a local Scout BSA troop.

The problem is. She texted him the wrong address two times. And that’s how he was recorded on a security camera at a neighbor’s home.

"I mean, don't get me wrong, I'm never going to let her live this down, but for all the people watching, I'm not blaming my wife for this," Stasyszyn told WBRE.

He called police to tell them what was happening and they cleared “Captain America” from any wrongdoing.
