According to Michigan State Police, troopers received a tip about the child’s whereabouts from a caller who had seen the missing child on social media, WLUK reported.
After making contact with an adult male and child in the motor home, the man was immediately detained and the child confirmed his identity as that of the missing Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin, child. Mark Anthony Petrick provided troopers with a fictitious name, however, and was arrested on an outstanding warrant, WITI reported.
The boy’s mother, Abigail Petrick, told the TV station at the time of Azariah’s disappearance that Mark Anthony Petrick, who shares custody of the child, picked up their son on July 17 but never returned him as arranged on July 22.
