Actress Kaley Cuoco, husband Karl Cook announce separation

Actress Kaley Cuoco and husband Karl Cook are splitting up after three years of marriage.

“Flight Attendant” and “Big Bang Theory” star Cuoco, 35, and Cook, 30, made the announcement in a joint statement, People reported. The magazine later reported that Cuoco filed for divorce in Los Angeles Superior Court on Friday

“Despite a deep love and respect for one another, we have realized that our current paths have taken us in opposite directions,” the couple’s statement said. “We have both shared so much of our journey publicly so while we would prefer to keep this aspect of our personal life private, we wanted to be forthcoming in our truth together. There is no anger or animosity, quite the contrary.

“We have made this decision together through an immense amount of respect and consideration for one another and request that you do the same in understanding that we will not be sharing any additional details or commenting further.”

Cuoco and Cook began dating in 2016 and became engaged in November 2017, Entertainment Tonight reported. They were married on June 30, 2018, according to USA Today. The wedding took place near San Diego at a horse stable, the website reported.

Both are avid equestrian fans, People reported.

They did not live together until last spring, USA Today reported.

“I have the best relationship with Karl. We are so happy,” Cuoco said on the “Brad Behavior” podcast in 2019. “But we have separate lives and then our lives come together and he’s so supportive of me. He lets me be me, and I let him be him.”

Cuoco was previously married to tennis player Ryan Sweeting from 2013 to 2016, Entertainment Tonight reported. It was Cook’s first marriage.
