“It’s an ongoing investigation, so unfortunately I can’t comment,” Rendon told reporters on Saturday.

Videos on social media appear to show Rendon, 32, an 11-year major league veteran, grabbing a fan’s shirt at the Oakland Coliseum after Thursday’s 2-1 loss, the Los Angeles Times reported.

Rendon struck out two times in three at-bats and went hitless on Thursday. He was heading toward the Angels’ clubhouse when he stopped and allegedly confronted a fan sitting near the railing, ESPN reported.

The video, which was posted to Twitter, shows Rendon asking the fan, “What did you say?” according to KTLA-TV.

The verbal confrontation lasted less than five minutes. MLB is looking into the incident, ESPN reported.

“This happens a lot unfortunately,” Angels manager Phil Nevin told reporters. “A lot of times we just don’t see it. You’re going to hear things all the time. You hear a lot. Right now, I just don’t want to comment on the incident involving Anthony or anything that goes along with it.”

MLB handles all player discipline and will determine whether Rendon will be suspended, according to the Times.

Rendon was in the lineup for Saturday’s game against Oakland, the newspaper reported.
