Bindi Irwin and husband Chandler Powell have welcomed their Wildlife Warrior daughter, Grace.
The baby’s full name is Grace Warrior Irwin Powell. She was born March 25, weighing 7 pounds, 7 ounces and was 20 inches long, People Magazine reported.
“Celebrating the two loves of my life. Happy first wedding anniversaries to my sweetheart husband and day of birth to our beautiful daughter,” Bindi Irwin wrote on Instagram. “Grace Warrior Irwin Powell. Our graceful warrior is the most beautiful light.”
The couple was married in March 2020, People magazine reported.
The baby was named after Irwin’s great-grandmother and other relatives in her husband’s family dating back to the 1700s. Warrior Irwin, the girl’s middle name is a tribute to Steve Irwin, the baby’s grandfather and television personality and conservationist, she explained.
Steve Irwin was killed during a diving trip near Australia in September 2006. He was 44, People magazine reported.
The couple announced they were expecting last year with a photo showing them holding a baby-sized Australia Zoo Wildlife Warriors shirt with the caption “Baby Wildlife Warrior due 2021,” E! News reported.
Bindi Irwin shared snapshots of her pregnancy’s progression on social media, frequently using animals to explain the baby’s size.
