NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Two black women paid for a Tennessee deputy’s breakfast at a Nashville Cracker Barrel, leaving a heartfelt note for the officer as well.
Sumner County deputy Jody McDowell was eating at the restaurant while waiting for a transport to be completed when the server told him his meal had been paid for by the two women, WTVF reported.
"I want to thank the two sweet black ladies who paid for my breakfast this morning," McDowell wrote on social media with a picture of the note they left.
“(Black Lives Matter) but so does yours! Thank you for your service. Breakfast paid.”
