Chicago shooting: Woman killed, 5 people wounded including girl, 15

CHICAGO — A woman was killed and five other people were wounded, including a 15-year-old girl, on Saturday night in a Chicago neighborhood, authorities said.

The shooting occurred at about 9:40 p.m. CDT in the West Pullman section of the city, WLS reported. A group of people was walking toward their vehicles when someone inside another car fired multiple rounds in their direction, the television station reported.

The victims have not been identified. They were taken to area hospitals for treatment.

According to the Chicago Sun-Times, a 42-year-old woman was shot in the arm and armpit and was pronounced dead at the University of Chicago Medical Center.

The teen was struck in the arm. A 32-year-old man was shot in the face and was in critical condition, and a 38-year-old man was shot in the stomach and was in fair condition, the newspaper reported.

Two other men were also listed in fair condition, according to the Sun-Times. A 22-year-old was shot in the arm and leg, while a 31-year-old man was grazed in the head.

No one is in custody, the newspaper reported. An investigation is ongoing.
