Police in Brookhaven confirmed to WJTV that the delivery driver was exiting the Cases’ driveway at around 7:30 p.m. after dropping off a package, and Gregory Charles Case blocked the driveway with his pickup truck to prevent the FedEx employee from leaving the premises.

According to police, the driver was piloting a white Hertz rental truck but was dressed in his FedEx uniform, WLBT reported.

According to the TV station, the driver maneuvered around Gregory Charles Case only to encounter his son, Brandon Case, standing in the middle of the road holding a gun. The FedEx driver reportedly drove on the grass to avoid hitting the gun-wielding man, at which point the younger Case shot into the truck multiple times.

Brandon Case then joined his father in the pickup truck, and the pair chased the FedEx driver until he reached Interstate 55, WLBT reported.

According to WJTV, Gregory Case has been charged with conspiracy and is being held on a $75,000 bond. Brandon Case has been charged with shooting into a motor vehicle and is being held on a $150,000 bond.

Both men were booked into the Lincoln County Jail after surrendering to Brookhaven police on Tuesday, WLBT reported.
