The warning impacts some vehicles that were already recalled. The November 2020 recall involved nearly 51,000 2017-2019 Chevrolet Bolts due to a potential of a fire in the high-voltage battery pack under the back seat, the NHTSA said in a statement.

The batteries can smoke and ignite internally and could cause the vehicle and surrounding buildings to catch fire.

There have been two recent cases of Bolt fires in cars that had been repaired.

If your car had been recalled under the November 2020 notice, but the repairs have not yet been completed, the company suggests to still get them done.
