“As an artist, I believe it’s my job and all of our jobs to reflect the times,” the “Black Parade” singer said while accepting the award for best R&B performance. “And it’s been such a difficult time, so I wanted to uplift, encourage and celebrate all of the beautiful Black queens and kings that continue to inspire me and inspire the whole world.”

Beyoncé also took home the awards for best music video (“Brown Skin Girl”), best rap performance and best rap song (“Savage” with Megan Thee Stallion), the AP reported.
The 31-year-old Swift, meanwhile, won album of the year for “Evermore,” becoming the first woman to claim the prize three times, according to the AP. Her albums “Fearless” and “1989” previously won the category.
“Mostly, we just want to thank the fans,” Swift said Sunday while accepting the award. “You guys met us in this imaginary world that we created, and we can’t tell you how honored we are forever by this.”
