ALEXANDRIA, Ind. — A 22-year-old Indiana man was struck and killed by an Alexandria police officer’s patrol car early Sunday morning, Madison County authorities have confirmed.
Police said Dylan Kelly Stinson was on a skateboard on State Road 9 when he was hit at around 2 a.m. by a marked police car driven by Zachary Taylor, who has been placed on paid administrative leave while the crash is investigated, WXIN reported.

According to The Herald Bulletin, Taylor, 31, graduated from the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy in 2014 and became a full-time Alexandria police officer in January.
Stinson was near the entrance to Beulah Park when the crash occurred, the newspaper reported.
