A Los Angeles police spokesperson told People that a man, identified by a representative of Gaga’s as the entertainer’s dog walker, was shot on Sierra Bonita Avenue in Hollywood around 9:40 p.m. Wednesday. Officials told CNN that the victim was taken to a hospital in stable condition after the shooting.

Update 8:40 p.m. ET Feb. 25: The Los Angeles Police Department confirmed that both assailants were men in their mid-20s. Police said the first suspect had blond dreadlocks and was wearing a black hoodie. He also was armed with a semi-automatic handgun.

The second man was said to be wearing dark clothes, police said.

Original report: Two French bulldogs were stolen in the attack, which Gaga’s representative identified to People as her dogs, Koji and Gustav.

Gaga is offering a $500,000 reward for the return of her dogs, no questions asked, CNN reported.

“Anyone who has the dogs can use this email, KojiandGustav@gmail.com to retrieve the reward,” an unidentified source told the news network.

Law enforcement sources told TMZ, the first outlet to report on the robbery, that Gaga might not have been specifically targeted in the attack.

“French Bulldogs are in demand and expensive, so our sources say it’s possible the gunman did not know the dogs were owned by Lady Gaga,” TMZ reported.

Officials told TMZ that Gaga’s dog walker was also walking another of her French bulldogs, Miss Asia, during the attack, though she was able to get away. The dog has since been recovered.
