KLAS-TV says George Duran, 25, has been under investigation by Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department since June 2021 after a victim came forward claiming she met a man on Snapchat who went by the name “Jay.” She agreed to meet him at a park. When they met, he gave her a pill and told her that it would help her relax.

In court records that KLAS-TV obtained, the victim began to feel sleepy and “Jay” told her to get in the back seat of his car. When she woke up the next morning, she walked home without any recollection of how she got there.

The Las Vegas Review Journal says the victim told police she believed she was raped, based on how her clothes looked when she woke up and from messages Duran sent to her on Snapchat. She then told officers she agreed to meet Duran for a second time, where she was sexually assaulted again.

Phone records, according to the Las Vegas Review Journal, found that Duran was using Snapchat to send photos and messages to other girls between the ages of 13 and 18.

During his arrest on May 6, Duran allegedly admitted to having sex with the victim and told investigators that it was consensual, according to the Las Vegas Review Journal.

Duran has been booked on recommended charges of sexual assault against a child and luring a child to engage in a sex act, according to the Clark County Sheriff’s Office database.

The judge set Duran’s bail at $250,000. Duran is expected to be back in court on May 25, according to KLAS-TV .
