‘Like a rocket’: Air compressor takes flight, crashes through Denver rooftop

DENVER, Colo. — An air compressor rocketed into the sky Sunday before crashing through a Denver rooftop, displacing two people.

The Denver Fire Department told KMGH that a South Fox Street resident was using a 100-gallon air compressor when the device suddenly took flight “like a rocket.”

No injuries were reported, but a nearby home now has a sizable hole after the projectile succumbed to gravity, KDVR reported.

The device crashed through the second floor of the home before coming to a rest on the first floor, KMGH reported.
