According to police, Bennett handed a note to a teller at First Financial Credit Union in Toms River and left with an undisclosed amount of money, the website reported.

Police released surveillance photos, showing the suspect wearing white makeup and a dark-colored wig with blonde extensions, the Press reported. He was also seen carrying a backpack style-type bag with a dark hat, a dark shirt, gray sweatpants and dark sneakers, the newspaper reported.

Messina said people who shared and responded to the department’s social media posts helped police find Bennett, the Press reported.
