BROWARD COUNTY, Fla. — A naked man has been arrested after he allegedly went on a crime spree in Florida that has left an infant and two other people dead over the past weekend.
WPLG says Dale Spidle, 35, has been arrested after allegedly going on a crime spree in Broward County, Florida over the weekend.
WSVN says Broward Sheriff’s Office deputies were called out to a hit-and-run crash around 2 p.m. on Friday involving four vehicles. Spidle was allegedly driving a stolen Kia. Two people had non-life-threatening injuries. Deputies told WSVN that the suspect got out of the Kia and allegedly shot a man before taking off in a truck. The man was taken to a hospital where he later died. Deputies say that Spidle, then crashed the truck and got out of it naked, according to WSVN.
Spidle allegedly tried to steal a woman’s necklace while naked in a Walgreens parking lot but was soon arrested by authorities, according to WPLG.
Coral Springs Police and Fire Rescue, according to WSVN, did a search of Spidle’s home where they say they found a 31-year-old woman dead and an infant under the age of one with serious injuries. The baby was taken to a hospital where he later died from his injuries. No further information has been provided.
Spidle has been booked on recommended charges of premeditated murder, robbery, aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and resisting an officer with violence, WPLG says. The names of the victims have not been released.
