Parents whose baby’s body was found stored in wall may face death penalty

The parents who stored the body of their baby in the wall of their home may face the death penalty.

The Washington County District Attorney’s Office announced on Friday that they will seek the death penalty for Kylie Wilt and Alan Hollis, WPXI reported.

Wilt and Hollis’ son had died in February 2021, but his remains were not found until November 2021.

Wilt said she hid the baby boy’s body in a wall inside their home.

She told police she put his remains in a crate, cut a hole in the wall, placed the crate inside the opening, covered it with blankets and then closed the hole with drywall and paint concealing it, WPXI reported.

Police said Wilt lied to Children and Youth Services about her son’s whereabouts.

The couple faces a variety of charges including criminal homicide, concealing the death of a child and abuse of a corpse, WPXI reported.
