GREENWICH, Conn. — Police in Connecticut said a woman who tried to steal purses from a store was hit by her own getaway driver as she made her escape.
The Greenwich Police Department posted several surveillance photos of the suspect on its Facebook page, asking for help to identify her. In the post, officers said the woman went into a business and tried to steal several purses. She was interrupted by bystanders and ran out of the store.
Police said that when the suspect ran out of the store, she, as well as another bystander, was hit by an SUV driven by a man whom police said was there to pick up the suspect.

The bystander who was hit by the car suffered non-life-threatening injuries, WTNH reported.
Police said they did not know whether the suspect was hurt.
