New England Patriots' running back James White’s father was killed in a Sunday car crash in South Florida, and his mother remains in critical condition.
Andy Slater of Fox Sports 640 South Florida first reported the news via Twitter.
Sad news to report. Patriots' RB James White's father was in a car crash today and did not survive. His mother was also in the car and is in critical condition.

White's father, Tyrone, was a captain with the Miami-Dade Police Department.
James was told and is inactive tonight.
According to the NFL Network, James White’s father, Tyrone White, was killed in the crash, but no update was immediately available on the extent of his mother, Lisa White’s, injuries.

James White, who was told about the crash prior to the Patriots' Sunday Night Football game against the Seattle Seahawks, is inactive for the game, the NFL Network reported.
