San Jose Batman helping the homeless

SAN JOSE, Calif. — A California teen has been dressing as Batman while handing out food, water and other necessities to the homeless population around San Jose for the last year.

Known as "Batman of San Jose" the 19-year-old caped crusader has been pulling a wagon filled with items for the homeless since June 2019, but the teen has gotten more visibility lately after visiting different homeless sites nearly daily for the last three weeks.

"People will notice me and then they'll see what I'm doing," he told KGO. "And then they'll notice the problem."

He is also there to listen.

“Sometimes a conversation is more than enough to help,” he said. “Just because you know, you feel human again.”
