San Francisco police arrested at least six suspects after the smash-and-grab at the Union Square location, District 3 Supervisor Aaron Peskin told KTVU.

Police said officers responded to the area shortly after 8 p.m. PST and observed several people “involved in criminal acts,” according to KPIX.

The incident at the high-end store was first documented on Twitter at around 8:25 p.m. PST, according to KTVU. One woman posted a video on Twitter that showed shattered windows on the ground outside the store and police responding to the scene.

Another person posted a video on Twitter that showed a man wearing several COVID-19 masks to hide his face as he quickly walked out of the store carrying a bundle of merchandise, KTVU reported.

According to police, the Louis Vuitton store may not be the only retail outlet that was robbed, KGO reported.

Officers are “continuing to respond to other retail establishments, where reports of vandalism are occurring,” San Francisco Police Department Officer Robert Rueca told reporters.
