CLEARWATER, Fla. — A woman in Clearwater, Florida, has died and her 7-year-old daughter was injured Sunday evening during a shooting between the woman’s boyfriend and ex-boyfriend.
The shooting happened around 6:30 p.m. Sunday in an apartment on the 600 block of Fairwood Avenue, Clearwater Police Department said, according to Tampa Bay News.
Nicolshia Washington’s ex-boyfriend, Lavaris Delapierre, was reportedly dropping their daughter when he got into an argument with her current boyfriend, Stacy Cross. That argument reportedly led to a shooting, CPD said, according to Tampa Bay News.
Washington, 25, and her daughter were both injured as a result of the shooting, according to WFLA. Washington died from her injuries. Her daughter is receiving treatment at a hospital in St. Petersburg.
Delapierre is facing multiple charges including felony murder and armed burglary, according to WFLA.
No further information has been released.
