FLAGLER COUNTY, Fla. — Florida Highway Patrol troopers are searching for a hit-and-run driver who fatally struck a pedestrian just before 1:00 a.m. Saturday.
The crash happened close to the Flagler-Volusia county line. Troopers said Sean Ryan, 24, was hit by the suspect vehicle as he walked along U.S. 1 near Plantation Bay Drive. Ryan was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The driver did not stop after hitting Ryan, FHP said. Troopers believe the hit-and-run vehicle is a 2007 or newer Chevrolet Colorado pickup truck.
