ORLANDO, Fla. — With the 40th overall pick in the second round of the 2021 NFL Draft, the Atlanta Falcons chose UCF Knights Safety Richie Grant.

The pick makes Grant the first Knight to be chosen in this year’s draft.

Grant played in nine of 10 games for UCF in his senior season in 2020.

He led the team in tackles, interceptions and fumble recoveries and was a unanimous selection to the American Conference’s first all-conference team.
It’s the fifth straight NFL Draft in which a UCF player was chosen.
