- Your front tires wear more quickly than the back tires – they take the lead when you drive and absorb a lot of force when you drive, so they tend to wear out faster. Swapping them out extends their life!
- The outsides of your tires also take the brunt of the force when you turn, which means they'll wear more quickly. Swapping out your left and right tires alleviates the amount of wear, lengthening the tire's life.
- Bubbling, bulging, or funny cracks in your tires! This can mean your tire is undergoing too much stress and you may need to rotate them out, if not replace them altogether.
- Your tires are wearing unevenly. If it looks like the outside of your tire (or the middle, for that matter) is wearing more quickly than the inside, you need a rotation to balance things out a little and extend the life of your tires.
