Details Announced for 2014 Orange & Blue Debut

GAINESVILLE, Fla. — The University of Florida's 2014 Orange & Blue Debut, presented by Sunniland, will kick off Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at Florida's Ben Hill Griffin Stadium.

Beginning at 12 p.m., the following gates will be open for entry into the stadium: 1, 2, 3, 4, 7, 12, 15, and 18. The lower seating sections of the stadium will be open for spectators. Concession stands and restrooms located on the lower concourse will be open.

In addition to the annual Orange & Blue Debut, there are several other Gator teams in action over the weekend. The women's tennis team hosts two home matches (Friday vs. Vanderbilt at 5 p.m.; Sunday vs. Kentucky at 1 p.m.), softball plays on Friday (vs. FAMU) at 6 p.m. and Saturday (vs. NC State) at 3 p.m. and the lacrosse team hosts Vanderbilt on Sunday at noon.

This year's debut will consist of four, 12-minute quarters with a running clock. The clock will stop during the two-minute drill at the end of each half. Regardless of Orange or Blue team designations, the offense will wear blue jerseys and the defense will wear orange.

2014 ORANGE & BLUE DEBUT EVENT INFORMATION Gates/Seating The following gates will be open for entry into the stadium: 1, 2, 3, 4, 7, 12, 15, and 18. The official 2014 football poster and schedule cards will be available at all open gates. The lower seating areas of the stadium will be open. Gates will open at 12:00 p.m.

Tickets

On game day, fans can purchase tickets at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium from ticket booths on the West side of the stadium near Gates 2 and 3 and also from Gate 13. The O'Connell Center ticket booth at Gate 1 will also be open. All ticket windows will open at 9:00 a.m. Tickets are $5 each.

Fans are strongly encouraged to purchase tickets in advance of game day to avoid long lines at the ticket window. Tickets can be purchased in person at the Gator Ticket Office<http://www.gatorzone.com/tickets/> located in Ben Hill Griffin Stadium during business hours, online through GatorZone.com<http://www.gatorzone.com/tickets/>/Tickets or by phone (1-800-34-GATOR).

There are a limited number of FREE tickets available at select Florida Farm Bureau locations<http://www.floridafarmbureau.com/officelocator/default.aspx>. Admission is also free with valid ID cards for UF Students, Gator Boosters, Alumni Association members and F Club members.

Great Gator Yard Sale

The Gator SportShop's annual Great Gator Yard Sale begins at 8:30 a.m. outside of the Gator SportShop by Gate 9.

Verizon Gator FanFest

Verizon Gator FanFest will begin at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday in the north grass of Ben Hill Griffin Stadium. The event will have games, giveaways, music, corporate partner booths and more.

Gator Walk

The football team will hold Gator Walk at 11:00 a.m. on the north side of the stadium as they do for normal home games during the regular season.

Pepsi Special Guest DJ Irie

DJ Irie, the official DJ of the Miami Heat, will be on hand to provide the pre-game music in The Swamp, starting when the gates open at noon.

Alligator Alley: Stadium West outside Gates 1 through 4) In addition to the game, fan amenities will be in place on Saturday. TVs, free poster and cheer card give aways, Mountain Dew Kickstart samples and other family friendly activities will take place once the gates open.

Alumni Flag Football Game

At 12:30 p.m., former Florida football players return to The Swamp to take each other on in the annual alumni flag football game.

Halftime Contests

During halftime, one lucky UF student will have the opportunity to kick a field goal from a set yardage for the chance to win free Pepsi. If the kick is good, one section in the stands will win a coupon for free Pepsi to take to participating retailers. The winning student will receive free Pepsi for one year.

Also at halftime, select students will participate in an on-field football contest representing their team, Orange or Blue for a chance to win prizes.

Broadcast Information

Live coverage will be available on GatorVision Online<http://www.gatorvision.tv/>. The game will be broadcast via tape-delay on Sun Sports at 5:00 p.m. on April 12, 10:00am on April 13, and numerous times in the weeks to follow.

Parking

*         O'Connell Center surface lot - Reserved

*         O'Connell Center garage - first-come, first-serve - use entrance on SW 2nd Ave.

*         Disabled Parking - first-come, first-serve in the O'Connell Center surface lot

*         Lemerand Dr. between University Ave. and Stadium Rd. will be closed beginning at 9:00 a.m.

*         Post-game traffic on Lemerand Dr. will be southbound ONLY

*         Shuttles will be running from the Commuter Lot on Lemerand Dr. starting at 9:00 a.m. They will drop off at the corner of Stadium Rd. and Lemerand Dr. Shuttles will continue to run through the end of the game.

Restrooms

Restrooms will be open at Gate 1 of the O'Connell Center starting at 8:00 a.m. and will remain open until 1:30 p.m.

First Aid Stations

First aid stations are located on the west side near gates 2 and 3, the east side (between Gates 13 and 14), north end zone (inside Gate 8), as well as in the Champions Club and Touchdown Terrace.

Gator Guest Service Locations

Fans that have questions or need assistance can utilize Gator Guest Services, located inside Gates 2, 7, 16, and 18. The main UAA switchboard will also be open at the main UAA lobby between Gates 1 & 2.
