Florida Citrus Sports names new finance executive

ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) — A former NBA executive has been named chief financial officer for Florida Citrus Sports.
 
   Scott Herring was named to the position last week. He has spent the past two years with the NBA's Memphis Grizzlies as the team's vice president of finance. He also previously spent 20 years with the Orlando Magic as its president of basketball administration.
 
   Herring also has served as the University of North Dakota's associate athletic director and chief financial officer. 
 
   He is a graduate of Grove City College in Pennsylvania. 
 
   Florida Citrus Sports is the nonprofit organization that runs both the Capital One Bowl and Russell Athletic Bowl.
