SOLAR BEARS EXTEND LEASE AT AMWAY CENTER THROUGH 2015-16

The Orlando Solar Bears announced today they have reached an agreement with Orlando Venues and the City of Orlando to extend their lease through the 2015-16 season.

"We would like to thank the City of Orlando and Mayor Dyer, Allen Johnson and his team at Orlando Venues and Alex Martins and the Orlando Magic for their support. Most importantly we want to thank the hundreds of thousands of fans who have supported the Solar Bears' return to Central Florida," said Joe Haleski, Chairman of the Solar Bears.

The Solar Bears are currently at the half-way point of their hockey season and have a 22-13-3 record. They have posted a 7-1-2 record in their last ten (10) games good for 4th place out of 13 teams in the Eastern Conference (top eight teams make the playoffs).

Orlando was awarded the 2015 ECHL All-Star Game which will be presented by Visit Orlando and on January 21, 2015 the Amway Center will welcome the future stars of hockey.
