ORLANDO, Fla. -- After losing to Navy, UCF only drops two spots to No. 22 in the College Football Playoff rankings.
If the Knights (8-3) beat USF Saturday night in Tampa, they will visit Friday’s Cincinnati/Tulane winner in the American Athletic Conference championship game. The Bearcats play the Green Wave Friday at noon on WFTV.
With tonight’s updated College Football Playoff rankings, the winner of the AAC title game is virtually a lock to earn a trip to the Cotton Bowl on January 2.
Saturday’s War on I-4 in Tampa is set for a 7:00 kickoff.
