Reporter Deanna Allbrittin joined WFTV in April 2018.
Deanna is a graduate of Indiana University and worked at stations throughout the state before deciding to head south to Florida!
During her time in Indiana, Deanna reported on lawmakers’ handling of money meant to fix Indianapolis’ worsening streets, the state’s inaction against a nursing home operator with hundreds of neglect complaints and failures in local 911 systems and wireless providers that led to serious injuries and deaths.
She received statewide journalism awards for that reporting, as well as for her work starting a morning show competition between high schoolers to collect hundreds of thousands of pounds for the local food bank.
When Deanna isn’t working, she enjoys volunteering for organizations focused on reducing food insecurity and improving literacy among children. She’s also a voracious reader (shout out to the Orange County Library System’s delivery option) and enjoys traveling with family and friends.
