    Ken Tyndall brings more than 25 years of broadcast journalism experience to the Eyewitness News team. A native of North Carolina, Ken attended East Carolina University and graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He started his career in broadcasting during his freshman year in college, working full time in radio.

    Ken has worked at a number of radio and television stations across the country. He has spent most of his broadcast journalism career covering Orlando and Central Florida, reporting and anchoring the news at both WFTV and radio partner News 96.5 WDBO. During his years at Channel 9, Ken has anchored weekends, noon, 5 p.m. and early-morning weekday newscasts.

    Ken has filed reports from Capitol Hill in Washington, as well as Europe, Central America and the Caribbean. He has also reported live from both the Republican and Democratic national conventions.

    Ken's work has been recognized with several Regional Emmy Awards. He has been honored with a number of awards from The Associated Press, including Best Radio Newscast, Individual Achievement for Radio Reporting and Best Television News Anchor. 

    Ken enjoys spending his spare time at the beach, swimming and boating with his wife, Jennifer, and their children.
